I have been taking pictures for over 50 years and for a lot of that time I have been interested in the natural world - wildlife and landscapes. I am particularly drawn to birds and to the coast and woodlands. In 2017, I was able to take early retirement so that I could concentrate on my photography. The images here come from my exploration of the British countryside since then. Over the many years that I have been using a camera, my primary interest has gradually shifted from wildlife to landscape and then on to more abstract, impressionistic images. You can see this progression in my images here. If you are interested in how the abstract images are progressing, please look at my other website Ellipsis Photographic Art.
